International Men’s Day is a yearly event for people to appreciate the men in their lives and this year’s theme is ‘Celebrating Men and Boys’. Teams at Trafford and Stockport College Group are made up of some of the most hard-working and inspirational males in the industry, who represent our community values.
Research highlighted by the International Men’s Day organisation shows men face a number of tough challenges. These include a suicide rate that is three times higher than that of women, the fact that one in three men have experienced domestic violence, and a life expectancy that is four to five years shorter than women. Men are also nearly twice as likely to develop serious health conditions, such as heart disease and lung cancer.
To highlight International Men’s Day, we are sharing the stories of just some of our inspirational males and celebrating the difference they make here at TSCG and beyond.
